My Story
Teresa Ross Image Consultant
As I entered my sixties, I began to notice that black was draining. I looked tired. My skin seemed dull, and my face appeared shadowed. It was obvious - black had to go. I wanted to find colours that would make me look and feel bright, fresh, and beautiful.
This took me back to a time when I worked in women’s wear, and the idea of “finding your season” was very popular. Women would use fabric swatches to match their best colours with what was available in stores. A colour consultant told me I was a Summer, and I was thrilled - smoky blues and dusty roses were my colours! But over time, I realized those colours didn’t make me look or feel any better than others, and I had a deep love for lime green, which definitely didn’t fit into the Summer palette!
I dismissed the idea of “seasons” as a passing trend. But black did not work for me, That led me to discover 16-season colour analysis. With so many more options, I was intrigued. I signed up for a colour analysis to learn, I am a True Spring! When I wear my True Spring colours, I feel vibrant, youthful, and even notice that the lines on my face appear softer.
Now, my passion is helping others experience the same transformation—the confidence, energy, and sense of well-being that comes from wearing colours that truly enhance their natural beauty.
When you are ready to move beyond the sea of black and discover your perfect palette, I would love to help you shine in colours that are uniquely yours. Let’s begin this journey together.

The Sea of Black
I had fallen into the trap. I was part of the “Sea of Black”. Women & men everywhere wearing black. Black dress. Black eyewear. Black shoes. Look at my face in the photo. it is lost behind the black and blonde hair. We will get to the hair in a minute. Notice the disconnection between my attire and me. The eye doesn't know where to look. That’s not what we want. We want to be drawn to a person’s face not their clothing. The clothing should be in harmony with the person, bringing forward the person to shine and be the star.
One final note about black. Black is in the winter palettes. Winters look fabulous in their shade of black! I am speaking here about the rest of us who are not winters; black is not doing us any favours.
Knowing your best colours also means knowing your best hair colour to be in harmony with your unique colouring. Even though blondes are part of the spring palette, this blonde is far too light and ashy for my natural colouring.
I will help you find the hair colour that suits you best too. The hair colour that complements your natural colouring and frames your beautiful face brightening it.
